MIDWEEK MUSINGS – Oct 19, 2021 – John Knox
Isn’t it lovely outside these days? I love the cooler temperatures combined with the bright sunshine. God’s creation is on full display!
You should have received the mailing with information about stewardship and your pledge card for 2022. Please fill that out and return it in time for the dedication of pledges on October 31 during worship. Also included in the mailing was information about the nominees for the new class of elders and congregational members of the Nominating Committee. There will be a short congregational meeting following worship this coming Sunday, Oct 24, to elect these new officers. I hope as many of you as possible will be able to be present.
We have a real need for help with the Media Team. We have been depending on a very few people to make our services happen and go out via live streaming. If you can help with running the power point or pushing the buttons for the camera to move or other not too complicated tasks, please step up. You can learn how to help, and we cannot continue without additional helpers!
Newsletter articles are due to Kim by tomorrow. You know who you are 😊
I’m excited about our planned “Trunk or Treat.” Trunks filled with candy, looking “halloweeny” Saturday, Oct 30, from 10-Noon.
Our Office Administrator Kim depends on having Friday as a private workday to prepare the power point, etc, for Sunday, so please try to limit your contact with her to Monday-Thursday.
And finally, Sunday, Nov 7 will be our All-Saints observance. Please get names to Kim of those who have died since last November, so we may include them in our remembrance.
Grace and peace, Pastor Carol
