MIDWEEK MUSINGS – May 3, 2022 – John Knox

Friends,

The “merry month of May.” Are you feeling it? May is a good month (apart from it being my birthday month 😊) as the earth warms and greens, and we are reminded of God’s love for us. I am hoping you will find ways to celebrate and enjoy God’s goodness in a special way this month.

Thanks to those who signed up to pick up flowers from our florist in the future. As you may know the florist moved to using a delivery service and the cost of that went up a lot. If you would be willing to take a turn picking up on a Friday or Saturday and bringing to the church, please call Kim in the office and let her know.

Also, a big thanks to Pearl Rogers and all her helpers for their hospitality after the service for Rosanna Aldridge yesterday. And thanks to George Saum and Mike Miller who were here to run the sound and the slides, the Thomas’s who served as ushers, and Pam Roussin who was our organist. The church family rallied! Rosanna’s family was very appreciative.

As we approach Mother’s Day, I hope you will not only give thanks for your mother, but also pause to recognize all the women who have “mothered” you along your life’s way. As the saying goes, “It takes a village.”

Grace and peace, Pastor Carol
