Music Ministry

 

 

The soaring power of the organ.  The close harmony of hand bells and voices. The melody of piano, or the rhythm of guitar.  The intimacy of a flute or clarinet solo.  We love to use the diversity of musical tools God has put in our hands to enrich worship. 

 

Music is how we express ourselves when words alone are not enough.  Whether we're singing together as a congregation or sharing in a worshipful moment of reflection during a solo or ensemble piece, we know that music undergirds our energy for coming before God in worship.

 

Psalm 150 tells us:

"...Praise [God] with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre;

     Praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute;

Praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.

     Let everything that has breath praise the Lord."

 

We cherish the gift of music as we prepare to praise God in worship each week.
