General giving to our Presbytery, Synod and General Assembly

Our giving supports not only the efforts of our congregation in our community, but also the work of the whole Presbyterian Church (USA) throughout the nation and beyond.

Denominational Offerings:  Peacemaking, One Great Hour of Sharing, Pentecost, Christmas Joy Offering

These special offerings focus on particular needs such as the safety of children and youth, peacemaking efforts in our community and worldwide, efforts to help those who are hungry or homeless, and support of students attending Presbyterian colleges and seminaries.

Presbyterian Women of John Knox (PWJK)

PWJK shares in mission through providing meals for grieving families, sponsoring Blanket Sunday to aid refugees worldwide, Pennies for Peace to support education for children in impoverished areas, and special offerings to combat hunger.

Emergency Offerings

From time to time, a catastrophe such as hurricane Katrina or the Indonesian sunami leads us to receive special offerings to help with these crises.  Over the lat several years we have raise many thousands of dollars to help respond to these emergencies.

Adult Mission Trips

Adults put their faith to work by traveling to areas of need for a week, and doing everything from storm cleanup to home repair.  Over the past few years adult mission teams have made two trips to the gulf to do hurricane relief work.
