The Garden of Grace is a small garden maintained by the board of deacons. We plant vegetables and
sometimes flowers for appearance and to draw pollinating insects. Later we harvest the vegetables for TEAM.
They appreciate fresh vegetables quite a bit since, as you can guess, most donated food is canned.
A typical year at the garden will include the following crops: lettuce, greens, peas, radishes, carrots, spinach, tomatoes, and zucchini. Occasionally we try other things. Help is appreciated from anyone in the congregation who is interested. |
