Children

VBS

Vacation Bible School is a week of Christian activities for children, age 3 through 5th grade.  The schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon Monday through Friday on VBS week.  Activities include a Bible story, crafts, games, snacks and music all centered on a common theme.

FAITH QUEST -- CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL

Using the Workshop Rotation Model of Sunday School, Faith Quest  meets at 10 a.m. each Sunday.  Workshop Rotation encourages kids (age 4 through 3rd grade) to explore Bible stories through the media of storytelling, crafts, computer lab, movies, puppets, drama, and music.  Children rotate through these learning centers over a period of 4-6 weeks.

JERUSALEM MARKETPLACE -- Feb. 28 - March 21

An interactive Bible time village experience for children ages 3 - 5th grade every Sunday at 10 a.m.

JK KIDS

JK Kids, a class for youth in grades 4-6, also meets at 10 a.m. each Sunday in the Youth Computer Lab.  The group uses the Grapple curriculum which challenges youth with faith and life issues while providing a safe and secure online community for home and church access.  A fun activity and a service project are also part of each monthly schedule.



Special Events                                   

Easter Egg Hunt

Sponsored by the Presbyterian Churches of North county, the Easter Egg Hunt is a community-wide event scheduled for 10 a.m. -- 12 noon on Saturday, March 27.  Besides the egg hunt, kids share in a special performance (such as a clown or magician), crafts, a springtime movie, and a photo with the Easter Bunny.  This event is free to the public.

Trunk or Treat/Pumpkin Hunt

Sponsored by the Children's Ministry Team of John Knox, this event also welcomes the community and is free of charge.  Children select and decorate that special pumpkin to take home plus stopping in at each open trunk for a sweet treat.  This event is usually scheduled for 10 a.m. -- 12 noon on the Saturday before Halloween.
